Rare vintage tapestry designed by Barbro Nilsson for AB Märta Måås-Fjetterströms ateliers in Båstad, Sweden. The pattern is called “Vitsippan” (“Wood anemone”). Beautiful green and blue shades with white organic shapes. Designer initials BN in the lower left corner. In a very good condition with age appropriate wear.
Barbro Nilsson was the artistic director of the world famous Märta Måås Fjetterström Studio in Båstad, Sweden, from 1943-1970. She designed many iconic patterns for the studio and is one of the best known Swedish textile designers of the 20th Century.
