This art deco danish modern rocking chair was produced in the 1940s. It is made of bentwood and features wooden components and spring seats. Completely restored and reupholstered in cotton velvet.
Very comfortable with an appropriate level of give, this armchair looks its best when one is able to view the profile, which really speaks to its 1940s date of design. The two almost circles on either side of the chair which link to plush seat to the rocker legs are beautifully striking design points.
Finished in a fine pink velvet, the upholstery catches the light beautifully and appears almost luminous as the curves of the base fill pull the exposed threads in different directions.

There is slight water damage to the velvet seat.
