Brilliant in design and palette, this very rare Art Deco panel was created in felt applique by Andrew Szoeke, the Hungarian-American artist best known for his wood inlay furniture. Here, Szoeke uses an arresting array of colors, ranging from red-orange to canary yellow, to depict a nude goddess holding the scales of Libra, running in a field of kaleidoscopic color. This panel retains its original frame.
