The rug, crafted from sturdy materials like wool and linen, has been hung on the wall and never used on the floor, so its condition is near excellent.
A beautiful creation depicting four roosters (or peacocks) colored in turquoise, emerald green and aquamarine shades contrasted with pink details. Designer initials MR in the lower right corner and the producer AB Märta Måås-Fjetterströms initials ABMMF in the lower left corner. The tapestry is in very good condition with minimum age appropriate wear.

Marianne Richter (1916-2010) was educated at the Technical School in Stockholm. After a period at Hemslöjden textile workshops in Växjö, she was asked by the textile artist Barbro Nilsson, artistic director of Märta Måås-Fjetterström’s ateliers in Båstad, to start working there.
