Vintage Design
A large, spectacular and sculptural “Torchère” wall light, Brutalist, Shabby-Chic, Neo-Classical, circular base, large inclined lantern-style arm, cylindrical lampshade with melted perforations forming luminous wavelets, all in bronze or brass with gunmetal patina, artist’s work, to be attributed, France 1970.
Note: the tail of the oblique axis is slightly twisted to find a horizontal section, suspended 1-2 cm from the wall, creating an interesting levitation effect… It is above all a detail of finesse which reveals the artist’s know-how, well… “brutalist”!
