Rare Murano handblown green Italian art glass large pitcher with 6 matching glasses done in enamel and gold gilt “Grotesque” changing faces. Documented to designer Anzolo Fuga, circa 1947-1948. Similar pieces are described in the Anzolo Fuga book, quoting “At the Bevilacqua La Masa exhibitions in 1947 and 1948, Anzolo Fuga presented objects painted with enamels, described in the catalog as “glass pieces decorated with enamels” (in 1947) and as “a green Grottesco set”. In the manner of Jean Cocteau. The pitcher has four different faces around. As do the glasses. The pitcher is signed A/F 48 dating the piece to 1948 and to designer Anzolo Fuga. Glasses are approximately 3.75 inches tall, by 2.75 inches wide. They vary a bit as they are hand blown.
