Antique Holophane Wall Light with Mercury Glass Shade An early silver backed glass wall light with a holophane wall bracket. These shades would have typically been used for the illumination of shop windows after hours. The copper and brass metalwork has been polished back and it retains its original embossed makers mark. The glass shade left in untouched original condition, has a green painted exterior finish and the interior is mirrored. Some shades have some remnants of the manufacturers mark on the front. Dimensions: Height: cm Shade diameter : cm Origin: Belgium Circa: 1920s Workshop Report: Overall good, some mottling imperfections in places to the shade finish and foxing to the inside mirror finish, some lights have partial original decals others are missing. The light has been rewired with CE Certified B22 (bayonet) bulb holder and 1m of twisted brown vintage style flex. As with all our products, This product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
