20th Century Trunk from Louis Vuitton, France

Louis Vuitton’s elegant and exclusive Malle Cabine trunk, the Maison’s travel icon. The sophisticated creation, with its compact design, was intended to be stowed under the cabin bed of an early 20th century ocean liner. This model that can now be used as a coffee table in front of the sofa has made countless trips as evidenced by the signs and stickers on it. Totally restored using only its own original parts this malle cabine is empty internally but its size makes it extremely sought after as a coffee table or small bar, we can have acrylic glass structure made to hold glasses and bottles internally. The inner canvas has two stains that to be removed would have involved inserting a non-original piece, so we restored it as best we could and left it as a testament to the trunk’s originality This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
