Imposing Mid-Century 6-light chandelier in brass and glass from the historic “Hurricane” collection by Gaetano Sciolari.
Perfect combination of materials, geometries and finishes.
The chromed brass structure, composed of vertical bars, supports curved triangular bases in satin brass.
The lamp holder glasses are made of polished brass, enclosed by glass cylinders that recall the flame arresters of ancient candle chandeliers.
The contrasting finishes reflect the light beautifully and add emphasis to the texture.
Throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s Gaetano Sciolari’s designs were in great demand and imported to the American market by Lightolier and Progress Lighting.
Iconic piece of lighting created by one of the greatest designers of the 20th century.
The chandelier works perfectly.
Excellent conservative state.
