Vintage Design
An exceptional pair of wall lights with 2 faces, Art-Deco, Neo-Classical, in off-white enameled plaster, circular wall bases, 2 thick arms of square section surmounted by 2 beautiful stylized faces (in the style of Georges Jouve) each carrying a light, to be attributed, France 1940-1950…
The choice of lampshades will obviously determine the aesthetic orientation and the entire atmosphere of these wall lights.
These anthropomorphic sconces have been attributed in the past to André Arbus, as well as to Georges Jouve, whose sailor figures from the 40s and 50s they recall, but no reliable documentation has ever come to confirm a reliable origin. The fact remains that the elegance and quality worthy of the greatest are there!
